My name is Shahrzad Roshan Zamir and I am a fourth year at the University of Georgia graduating in May 2022. I’m pursuing a degree in International Affairs on a pre-law track. Participating in this internship is my first step to learning more about child welfare, the juvenile court, and the inner workings of an NGO. When I’m not reading about politics and international events, I enjoy cooking, trying new foods, and working out. I was partially raised in Iran, Dubai, and Athens. I’m very excited to work with the CASA team during the Spring semester.

Hi, I’m Alexis O’Neal! I just graduated in May of this year from the University of Georgia with a degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Neuroscience with minors in Sociology and Gerontology. I grew up in McDonough, Georgia. In my free time I enjoy reading, listening to podcasts and going for hikes! I am excited to be serving as an intern this summer with CASA and I look forward to learning more about how CASA impacts the lives of foster children in and around Athens and Oconee County!
